Some time ago one of Russia's journalists, Anna Politkovskaya was murdered. She was disposed of because she publicly dared to speak about corruption.
Rest of the rant )
As you can see, I'm a tad miffed. If you live with that all your life, you'll get used to it. If you live in another country, it does not touch you personally. But it's not okay!

I included the one where I live of course. It would be nice to visit more but I don't think I will ever make it around the world.

You are The Wheel of Fortune

Good fortune and happiness but sometimes a species of
intoxication with success

The Wheel of Fortune is all about big things, luck, change, fortune. Almost always good fortune. You are lucky in all things that you do and happy with the things that come to you. Be careful that success does not go to your head however. Sometimes luck can change.

Power of the written word

I just finished reading ch. 41 of "In Blood Only" at ff.net.
Such a cliffhanger, and we can only expect the worst. I hate you Lucius.

That's the problem of reading fiction written by somebody else and not yet posted in it's entirety - the readers have nothing else to do than placidly wait until the author deigns to post another chapter. Especially if the author has that much talent.

I prefer malevolent protagonists to angsty ones because I always tend to relate too much. And torturing someone is muchly preferable to being tortured in my mind. Now I need to read some good DerangedMurderingDark!Harry fic to cheer me up. *grumble* So I'm disturbed.

Feels like a good laugh.

Well, I can do nothing but be amused by the master of sarcasm.

Note that the lowest is 45 per cent. And only 80 that of the so called 'formidable force'.

They call it MPD.

One has to note that I laugh much more often than that git with frosty exterior but maybe it is my Voldemort side coming forth *pulls up the hood and waves a stick*

You scored as Severus Snape. Well you're a tricky one aren't you? Nobody quite has you figured out and you'd probably prefer it stayed that way. That said you are a formidable force by anyone's reckoning, but there is certainly more to you than a frosty exterior and a bitter temper.

Playing the game and enjoying it

And so it happens that I do not play the sport, only take part in competitions.
I'm speaking about renju, by the way.

There was that World Championship that I arrived to to witness my brother playing in the B-tournament. The Estonian organiser only asked me after some 30 minutes if I wanted to play with a chinese girl. I replied no thank you, I've only tried gomoku once or twice, more of a go person overall. Then the next thing you know I agreed to appear in the beginners tournament in the end of the Championships. It was fun. :D A new experience. I was 7-th of ten participants and some of them had played before. Books and pens and bread (from the sponsor :P ) were awarded to all players.

There was a week long renju camp at Karepa starting next Wednesday and I showed up one day before the end. Too bad that the water was cold because the beach is beautiful out there. I woke up after five, took a bus to the bus station, then two others to different towns, walked 2 km-s and was picked up by the organiser. I arrived before breakfast and I already had planned before to go and jog with others. The next morning we did it bare footed and I am so not used to sharp stone particles shaving up my feet.

Of course there was a tournament at the camp in wich I participated. Got the paper to prove it too.

Measly eight euros for bed and meals and nice company (Not accounting the bus ride which was about four) and a new horizon explored.

Yey. One more week and I'll be busy with my new job. I'll even try out two different posts simultaneously - consulting and design - to maybe have both. I'm so elated. Please work out please work out.. I must somehow accommodate my studies. Hmm..

I requested a bread-maker for my birthday. Now I'm going to bake till hell breaks loose. Like, once a week.

Today I attended a Big Painting Saturday at our country's Art Museum. Friendly volunteers, great weather and free food. Now I'm being displayed in the above mentioned institution. I know it's opposite to the toilet, but still.. I'm going to take over the world with my sucky art! Mwahahaa!! Wait, did somebody already do that?

What have I done?

Now thats more like it.

Jiahn
You are Jiahn! You are stoic to the point of
repression, and it would do you a lot of good
to loosen up. However, you have a kind heart
and like to help others, and when you put your
mind to it, you're very effective. You have
trouble trusting others, and you also tend to
give up on yourself too easily.
